Every annual report carries numbers. The brief for Edelweiss FY2024-25 was to give those numbers a soul. The theme, Scripting Value: Crafting Purpose, Driving Impact, set the creative frame: a financial services group that, like a theatrical performance, brings together meticulous craft, dedicated rehearsal, and disciplined execution to create something that endures.
India's classical arts as a creative language.
The most distinctive creative decision was the use of India's classical and folk theatre traditions as the visual and editorial language of the report. Each section was anchored by a different art form, each chosen for what it could say about the business it represented.
A cover that earns its theme.
The cover was designed to carry the theatrical metaphor without being literal about it. The visual treatment, typographic choices, and design language were calibrated to feel like a stage being set, confident and purposeful, communicating that what follows is a performance worth watching.
ESG, designed with the same rigour.
The Sustainability Report was treated as a continuation of the same creative system, not an appendix. The design language of the main report carried through, ensuring the ESG section felt as considered and intentional as the business overview it sat alongside. For a group with an ESG Council chaired by a Board member, the design had to reflect that the commitment was structural, not cosmetic.
